Feature Pic...

Hi!  This photo was taken of Ripley, June 16th, on Ward's Island, right off Manhattan.  We go every afternoon as it's a beautifully wooded area, no people, and lots of brush, access to the East River, and encounters with both rabbits and pheasant.  However, there is also a CHICKEN living in one area of deep foliage which emerges, then goes back into hiding when it sees Ripley bounding after it.  It torments him with the "cluck clucking", and he goes crazy in his attempts to get into the foliage.  Yesterday, rather than establishing a point, he simply STOOD UP, looked OVER the brush where the chicken hid, and dove right in.  We pulled him out, but not before he had a mouthful of feathers.  The ending of this story is twofold: the chicken's okay and lives on to continue taunting Ripley, and, we discovered how TRULY remarkable our V's are:  THEY CAN WALK!

Please print this for other members to enjoy and encourage their V's to start taking a few steps!
Best wishes.
